The pleasant odor in the room was refreshing and not overpowering.
The old style bedspread and stained carpet detracted from the overall comfort.

Overall it was spotlessly clean in screen. The location couldn't be more marvellous and beautiful out on the slopes.

The indoor pool and hot tubs were fantastic. The complimentary cookies in the lobby were a sweet touch. The staff was super friendly, and the overall vibe exceeded my expectations after my previous stay in stowe.
room carpet was a bit stained.

This was a great stay for this mini vacation. The staff were superfriendly and welcoming the whole time. The room with views. The location in the middle of the town was secure. The hotel itself was in a pretty nice area. The venue had a nice bar and a nice restaurant.

They are really pet friendly. They actually appear to enjoy the pets! Our dog was very happy there. Also they have a great pool.
It's before you hit the village of Stowe, therefore is not on the recreation path. Also the rooms do not have outdor patios.

I appreciated the cozy atmosphere and vintage decor of Commodores Inn, feel cute and homely. The easy access to the common areas and amenities also.
More seating in common areas would be helpful.

This property had no surprises. Although it is a bit outdated, it was clean and the rates for the Stowe area were reasonable.

Great position near several towns, including Waterbury and the Ben & Jerry's factory. In addition, it is in a very quiet place, great for relaxing.
The floor in the bathroom wasn't too clean and there were a couple of small spiders near the sink. The walls seem to be very thin between rooms and so is the door to the corridor, but our neighbours were not too noisy at all.

The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I noticed the carpet could use some attention. The availability of hot drinks and the charming pond added to the overall delight of the experience.

The location was convenient and it has a nice porch overlooking their pond. Booked.nets and a canoe and rowboat are available for anyone to use.
This is not so much anything we didn't like, but if you do not like dogs, or the fact that dogs are permitted to stay here, this hotel is not for you. There were quite a few dogs of all sizes staying here. All were very well behaved, but some people may not like this.

great amenities but some decor could improve
The staff impressed me with their attentive service, always ready to help. The pool and hot tub provided a cozy retreat after a long day. I enjoyed the easy access to kayaking and canoeing. There was a cute ambiance that felt mad really like home.
The dated decor in the room did not meet my expectations for comfort.

Location was good, food OK (good value on the prime rib buffet). Free wi fi a plus; grounds well kept.
Bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast overpriced; should have been included (at least continental portion). Some furniture in state of decay -- upholstery frayed. Won't stay here again.

In an odd twist of fate, that evening we were the hotel's only guests. Needless to say, parking was super easy and there was no noise from the hall or other guests. But is was such a nice place I am sure that in season the hotel is much busier. Oh and for the first time in many years, I was handed an actual room key (made from metal with a room number tag). I had figured these were no outlawed by some act of congress. Hmmm, still having the ability to enter your room in the event of a power failure, someone should let homeland security know these devices exist.
In these days of sky high beds that you practically need a stepladder to get into, it was surprising to find a bed that barely came up to my knee. It was quite comfortable though.
